Royal Artillery

Khedive's Star, dated 1882, named to 12829 Dvr. Thomas Campbell, N/2 Bde., Royal Artillery.
Khedive's Star, dated 1882, named to 34825 A/Bdr. R. Harrigate, 1/1 London Div., Royal Artillery.
Khedive's Star, dated 1882, named to 2846 Cpl. Thomas Howson., G Battery, B Brigade, Royal Horse Artillery.

Note what appears to be a pawnbroker's mark "U/R" on the bottom ray of the Star, the attempted "correction" of the rank on his promotion to Sergeant, and the fact that the naming appears to retain evidence of gilding.
Khedive's Star, dated 1882, named to 2295 Gnr. George Thomas Jelliff, N/A Bde., Royal Horse Artillery.
Khedive's Star, dated 1882, named to 22715 A/Bdr. Martin McLaughlin, 1/1 London Div., Royal Artillery.
Khedive's Star, dated 1882, named to 23137 Gnr. Lewis William Shilton, 5/1 London Div., Royal Artillery.
Khedive's Star, dated 1882, named to 10509 Gnr. G. Smith, C/3 Bde., Royal Artillery.
Khedive's Star, dated 1882, named to 23171 Dvr. J. Snelling, I/2 Bde., Royal Artillery, 1882.
Khedive's Star, dated 1882, named to 2523 Gnr. T. W. Wallace, G Battery, B Brigade, Royal Horse Artillery, 1882.
Khedive's Star, dated 1882, named to 27180 Gnr. Joseph Warne, I/2 Bde., Royal Artillery.

It is difficult to detect any sort of pattern here, although there are indications of organised naming. The two Stars named to 1/1 London Division recipients are named in identical fashion, as are the Stars to Campbell (N/2 Bde) and Smith (C/3 Bde). The two stars named to I/2 Bde and the two to G/B Bde, Royal Horse Artillery, are not. The Star to Snelling (I/2 Bde) is named in exactly the same fashion (including the date, 1882) as that to Wallace (G/3 Bde).
