	Khedive's Star, dated 1882, named to 2846 Cpl. Thomas Howson., G Battery, B Brigade, Royal Horse Artillery. Note what appears to be a pawnbroker's mark "U/R" on the bottom ray of the Star, the attempted "correction" of the rank on his promotion to Sergeant, and the fact that the naming appears to retain evidence of gilding.

Note that the two Stars named to 1/1 London Division recipients are named in identical fashion, and that the two named to I/2 Brigade and to G Battery, B Brigade, Royal Horse Artillery are not. However, the Star to Snelling is named in exactly the same fashion (including the date, 1882) as that to Wallace. I suspect they were serving in the same unit when the Stars were named.
